Minor piercing information

We understand that piercings for minors come with additional questions and requirements. To ensure a safe, smooth, and fully informed experience, there are specific guidelines that must be followed.

You’ll find detailed information below outlining what is needed for minors and their parent or legal guardian prior to the appointment.

 

Minors (Ages 1–17)

A parent or legal guardian must be present during the appointment. Both the minor and the accompanying parent/legal guardian must provide valid identification.

For the Minor:

  • Government-issued ID or

  • School ID (accepted if the minor and parent/legal guardian share the same last name)

If you and the minor have different last names — or if the minor does not have a valid ID — please bring the minor’s birth certificate (or a clear, legible photo of it).

Please Note:
We do not accept insurance cards, Social Security cards, or COVID vaccine cards as valid identification.

If you are a legal guardian (not a biological parent), you must provide official documentation verifying guardianship.

Below you’ll find the age requirements for services offered in our studio. If a piercing is not listed, it is considered an adult (18+) service.

We are happy to provide these piercings once the client reaches 18 years of age, in accordance with Hawaiʻi state law.

Ages 1–4

We offer ear lobe piercings for children within this age range. For children under 4 years old, Tony is the only piercer who performs this service, and appointments are required to ensure a calm and comfortable experience.

We do not pierce children younger than 1 year old.

Ages 5–13

We offer ear lobe piercings for this age range, and all of our piercers are happy to accommodate. While walk-ins may be available, appointments are recommended to ensure the best experience..

For this age group, lobe piercings are the only service available.

Ages 14–15

The following services are available for this age group:

• Larger gauge lobes (10g and smaller)
• Basic cartilage (helix)
• Oral piercings (tongue, smiley)
• Facial piercings (nostril, lip, brow, septum)
• Navel piercings

Ages 16–17

The following services are available for this age range:

  • Larger gauge lobes (8g–6g)

  • Advanced cartilage piercings, including daith, industrial, rook, snug, conch, tragus, and more
